The name of a candidate for election to the Aitkin School Board was spelled incorrectly in last week's issue. Brian Orlowski is the correct spelling of the name of the candidate. In the same story, Scott Miller was listed as a candidate for city council in Hill City. The name of the candidate should have been Scott Martin.
The Aitkin Community Theater (sponsored by the Friends of the Arts) will present the Stuart Ross musical, Forever Plaid, on Oct. 21, 22 and 23. Set in the 1950s, the show features popular songs that were not rock and roll, including Three Coins in a Fountain, Sixteen Tons and Love is a Many Splendored Thing.
The play is directed by Bryan Johnson and the four-person cast includes Jere Fremling, Tony Klee, Chris Nelson and Jeff Moe. Playing in the pit band will be Marlene Turner, piano; Erik Johnson, bass and Bob Lake, drums.
Advance tickets are now on sale at the Independent Age. Tickets will sell for $8 for everyone.
